West Virginia High School Basketball - Nicholas County nips Summers County

December 12, 2023: Summersville, WV 26651

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) and the visiting Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV), saw Nicholas County's basketball squad hold off Summers County by a tally of 42-36.

With the victory, Nicholas County improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Sissonville (Charleston, WV) to play the Indians in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 14. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Sissonville won 62-25 in their recent league challenge against Hoover (Clendenin, WV)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Pocahontas County Warriors (Dunmore, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 18. Summers County will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 56-31 non-league loss to Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV).
