O'Neill Eagles (O'Neill, NE) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Pierce Bluejays (Pierce, NE), 45-42 in a league bout.

With the win, O'Neill upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Eagles travel to Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] (Clearwater, NE) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 14. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] won 66-32 in their recent non-league bout against Stuart (Stuart, NE)

Next up, the Bluejays play the Scotus Shamrocks (Columbus, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Pierce will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Shamrocks go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 54-10 non-league win over Concordia (Omaha, NE).
