The Patrick Henry Patriots (Ashland, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Varina Blue Devils (Richmond, VA), 53-50 in Tuesday's league test.

The Patriots (2-4) will now prepare for their test against Atlee (Mechanicsville, VA). The Raiders go into the Capital test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Atlee got by Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA), 60-54, in a non-league test.

The Blue Devils now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Henrico for a Capital test on Friday, December 15. Varina will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 55-43 league win over Hanover (Mechanicsville, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-2.
