West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Spruce Timberwolves (Dallas, TX), 37-19 in a league bout.

With the win, West Mesquite upgrades its record to 2-13 on the season. The Wranglers travel to Poteet (Mesquite, TX) to play the Pirates in a 5A Region II District 12 bout on Friday, December 15. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 8-10. Poteet won 39-9 in their recent league bout against North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX)

Next up, the Timberwolves play the Adams Cougars (Dallas, TX) in a 5A Region II District 12 bout, on Friday, December 15. Spruce will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 46-27 league loss to Conrad (Dallas, TX).
