In Tuesday's league battle, the host Choctaw Central Warriors soccer squad scored a close 1-0 win over the West Lauderdale Knights.
The Warriors (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Leake Central (Carthage, MS). The Gators go into the 4A Region 4 battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Leake Central was nudged by Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS), 10-0, in a league battle.
The Knights (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Newton County (Decatur, MS). The Cougars go into the 4A Region 4 battle with a 10-3 record. In their last battle, Newton County nipped Clarkdale (Meridian, MS), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
