East Central Hornets (Moss Point, MS) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Vancleave Bulldogs (Vancleave, MS), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Hornets confront the Wayne County War Eagles (Waynesboro, MS) in a 5A Region 4 challenge, on Friday, December 15. East Central will attempt to better on its 9-3 season record. The War Eagles enter the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 7-0 league loss to Stone (Wiggins, MS).

The Bulldogs now have a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Laurel for a 5A Region 4 challenge on Friday, December 15. Vancleave will confront a Golden Tornadoes team coming off a 6-0 league loss to Gautier (Gautier, MS). The Golden Tornadoes record now stands at 3-8.
