First Christian Lions (High Springs, FL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hope Christian Academy Lions (Starke, FL), 29-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, First Christian upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Lions host Corinth Christian Academy (Jasper, FL) to play the Warriors in a bout on Thursday, December 14. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 1-3. Corinth Christian Academy lost 24-20 in their recent league bout against Gainesville Christian Community (Gainesville, FL)

Next up, the Lions play the Westwood Christian Warriors (Live Oak, FL) in a bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Hope Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 46-27 league loss to Corinth Christian Academy (Jasper, FL).
