In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Central Columbia Bluejays basketball team scored a big 54-33 triumph over the Hughesville Spartans.

The Bluejays (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Mifflinburg (Mifflinburg, PA). The Wildcats go into the Heartland III contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Mifflinburg was trounced by Mount Carmel (Mount Carmel, PA), 77-48, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Montoursville Warriors (Montoursville, PA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Hughesville will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 55-31 non-league win over Midd-West (Middleburg, PA).
