In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Escambia Academy Cougars basketball team scored a good 53-42 triumph over the Wilcox Academy Wildcats.
The Cougars (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sparta Academy (Evergreen, AL). The Warriors go into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Sparta Academy topped Clarke Prep (Grove Hill, AL), 60-59, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Hooper Academy Colts (Hope Hull, AL) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 19. Wilcox Academy will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Colts go into the contest with a 10-0 record after their 62-52 non-league win over Chambers Academy (LaFayette, AL).
