The Melrose Dutchmen (Melrose, MN) basketball were winner over the host West Central Area Knights (Barrett, MN), 55-39 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Dutchmen now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta for a AA Section 3 bout on Tuesday, December 17.
With the loss, West Central Area falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Brandon/Evansville (Brandon, MN) to play the Chargers in a A Section 6 bout on Friday, December 13. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Brandon/Evansville won 57-53 in their recent league bout against Parkers Prairie (Parkers Prairie, MN)
