Minnesota High School Basketball - Pine Island holds off Zumbrota-Mazeppa

In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Pine Island Panthers basketball team scored a close 63-59 triumph over the Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars.
The Panthers (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Cannon Falls (Cannon Falls, MN). The Bombers go into the AA Section 1 contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Cannon Falls nipped Kasson-Mantorville (Kasson, MN), 77-75, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars confront the Cotter Ramblers (Winona, MN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 13. Zumbrota-Mazeppa will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Ramblers go into the contest with a 2-3 record after their 59-38 non-league win over Fillmore Central (Harmony, MN).
