The Sand Rock Wildcats basketball team scored 78 points and limited the host Ragland Purple Devils to 35 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Wildcats now have a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Gaston for a 2A Area 13 game on Friday, December 13. Sand Rock will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 59-58 non-league loss to Hokes Bluff (Hokes Bluff, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-11.

With the loss, Ragland falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Purple devils host Victory Christian (Pell City, AL) to confront the Lions in a 1A Area 11 game on Friday, December 13. The Lions go into the game with a record of 5-4. Victory Christian lost 65-59 in their recent league game against Jefferson Christian Academy (Birmingham, AL)
