In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Thornwell Saints basketball team scored a big 70-19 triumph over the South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind Hornets.

The Saints (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against GREEN Upstate (Simpsonville, SC). The Owls go into the A Region 1 contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, GREEN Upstate was trounced by Greer Middle College (Taylors, SC), 70-51, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Whitmire Wolverines (Whitmire, SC) in a A Region 1 contest, on Monday, December 16. South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Wolverines go into the contest with a 0-8 record after their 71-31 league loss to Calhoun Falls Charter (Calhoun Falls, SC).
