The Marmaduke Greyhounds basketball squad (Marmaduke, AR), was nudged 52-47 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Corning Bobcats (Corning, AR)

With the victory, Corning advances its record to 2-7 on the year. The Bobcats host Rector (Rector, AR) to meet the Cougars in a 2A Region 3 battle on Monday, December 16. The Cougars enter the battle with a record of 4-4. Rector won 57-52 in their recent league battle against Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR)

The Greyhounds (6-11) will now prepare for their test against Piggott (Piggott, AR). The Mohawks come into the 2A Region 3 test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Piggott held off East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR), 50-47, in a league test.
