The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Leadore Mustangs (Leadore, ID) and the visiting Mackay Miners (Mackay, ID), observed Leadore's basketball team knock off Mackay by a score of 53-35.

The Mustangs (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against North Gem (Bancroft, ID). The Cowboys come into the 1A Rocky Mountain challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, North Gem was knocked off by Taylor's Crossing (Idaho Falls, ID), 33-23, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Miners encounter the Rockland Bulldogs (Rockland, ID) in a 1A Rocky Mountain challenge, on Saturday, December 21. Mackay will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record.
