Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Mars trounced by South Fayette

December 12, 2024: Mars, PA 16046

South Fayette Lions (McDonald, PA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA), 70-25 in a league match.

With the victory, South Fayette advances its record to 5-0 on the year. The Lions host West Allegheny (Imperial, PA) to meet the Indians in a WPIAL 5A 3 match on Monday, December 16. The Indians enter the match with a record of 3-1.

The Fightin' Planets now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Avonworth for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. Mars will meet a Antelopes squad coming off a 72-14 league win over Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA). The Antelopes record now stands at 3-1.
