In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Albemarle Patriots basketball team scored a big 47-5 triumph over the Monticello Mustangs.
The Patriots (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Eastern View (Culpeper, VA). The Cyclones go into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Eastern View smashed Liberty (Bealeton, VA), 38-17, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 16. Monticello will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Flying Flucos go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 34-14 non-league win over Goochland (Goochland, VA).
