In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Corinth Holders Pirates basketball team scored a close 29-27 triumph over the Fuquay - Varina Bengals.
The Pirates (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Southeast Raleigh nipped Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC), 48-34, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bengals battle the Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC) in a contest, on Friday, December 13. Fuquay - Varina will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Storm go into the contest with a 5-0 record after their 37-24 non-league win over Broughton (Raleigh, NC).
