The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) and the host West Allegheny Indians (Imperial, PA), witnessed Mars's ice hockey team defeat West Allegheny by a score of 8-3.

The Fightin' Planets (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Butler (Butler, PA). The Golden Tornado come into the PIHL Class A Blue challenge with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, Butler got by Richland (Johnstown, PA), 11-1, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians battle the North Hills Indians (Pittsburgh, PA) in a PIHL Class A Blue challenge, on Monday, December 23. West Allegheny will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record.
