North Carolina High School Basketball - Alexander Central knocks off St. Stephens

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Alexander Central Cougars basketball team scored a good 50-42 win over the St. Stephens Indians.
The Cougars (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Newton-Conover (Newton, NC). The Red Devils come into the non-league contest with a 5-0 record. In their last contest, Newton-Conover defeated West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC), 69-31, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Indians battle the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 13. St. Stephens will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 6-2 record after their 53-47 non-league win over Bandys (Catawba, NC).
