The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) and the host Chatham Charter Knights (Siler City, NC), observed Providence Grove's basketball team knock off Chatham Charter by a score of 55-44.

The Patriots (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Uwharrie Charter Academy (Asheboro, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Uwharrie Charter Academy was knocked off by Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC), 66-33, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 3. Chatham Charter will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record.
