The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC) and the visiting North Duplin Rebels (Calypso, NC), observed East Duplin's basketball team overcome North Duplin by a margin of 39-31.

The Panthers (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Hobbton defeated Princeton (Princeton, NC), 38-37, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Rebels battle the Spring Creek Gators (Seven Springs, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 13. North Duplin will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record. The Gators come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 56-49 non-league loss to Midway (Dunn, NC).
