The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC) and the host Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC), observed Maiden's basketball team overcome Bunker Hill by a margin of 57-44.

The Blue Devils (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Fort Mill (Fort Mill, SC). The Yellow Jackets come into the non-league challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last battle, Fort Mill thwarted Gaffney (Gaffney, SC), 69-53, in a non-league battle.

The Bears now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bandys for a Western Foothills 4A/5A battle on Friday, December 19. Bunker Hill will battle a Trojans team coming off a 67-58 league loss to East Lincoln (Denver, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 5-1.
