The California Military Institute Rough Riders basketball squad (Perris, CA), was nudged 44-42 in Friday's league challenge with the host San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions (San Jacinto, CA)

The Lions (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Temecula Prep (Winchester, CA). The Patriots come into the South Valley challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Temecula Prep tipped Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School (Temecula, CA), 63-21, in a league battle.

The Rough Riders now own a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Portola for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 13. California Military Institute will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 79-32 non-league win over Santiago (Garden Grove, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-3.
