North Carolina High School Basketball - Pinnacle Classical Academy thwarts Challenger

December 12, 2025: Shelby, NC 28152

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles (Shelby, NC) and the visiting Challenger Firebirds (Hickory, NC), observed Pinnacle Classical Academy's basketball team knock off Challenger by a score of 56-45.

The Eagles (3-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Nebo Crossing Academy (Nebo, NC). The Bulldogs come into the Western Piedmont challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Nebo Crossing Academy was outscored by Christian Family Academy (Conover, NC), 55-51, in a league battle.

The Firebirds now own a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Christian Family Academy for a Western Piedmont battle on Thursday, December 18. Challenger will meet a Fire squad coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Moravian Prep Regional (Hudson, NC). The Fire record now stands at 6-3.
