Seguin Cougars (Arlington, TX) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX), 69-54 in a non-league contest.

The Cougars (12-2) will now prepare for their contest against North Forney (Forney, TX). The Falcons come into the non-league contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, North Forney notched a victory over Lake Worth (Lake Worth, TX), 67-53, in a non-league match.

The Trojans now own a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Arlington for a non-league match on Saturday, December 13. Newman Smith will battle a Colts team coming off a 67-42 non-league win over Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes Black (Carrollton, TX). The Colts record now stands at 3-9.
