The South Side Hornet nudged the host St. Joseph Bulldogs basketball team by a tally of 66-63 in Friday's league game.

The Hornet now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Hector for a non-league bout on Monday, December 15. South Side will play a Wildcats team coming off a 89-60 non-league win over Sacred Heart (Morrilton, AR). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-0.

With the loss, St. Joseph falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Jacksonville Lighthouse (Jacksonville, AR) to play the Wolves in a 2A Region 5 bout on Thursday, December 18. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 0-9. Jacksonville Lighthouse lost 60-20 in their recent league test against Conway Christian (Conway, AR)
