The West Jefferson Roughriders basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Triad Cardinals to 43 in the Roughriders league triumph on Friday.

The Roughriders now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Elgin for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 16. West Jefferson will confront a Comets team coming off a 45-33 non-league loss to Delaware Christian (Delaware, OH). The Comets record now stands at 1-5.

With the defeat, Triad drops to 1-4 on the year. The Cardinals host Greenon (Springfield, OH) to face the Knights in a Ohio Heritage outing on Tuesday, December 16. The Knights enter the outing with a record of 1-2. Greenon lost 70-33 in their recent league outing against Cedarville (Cedarville, OH)
