The Hornets (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Spurger (Spurger, TX). The Pirates go into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Spurger was topped by Zavalla (Zavalla, TX), 56-23, in a non-league match.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Spurger for a 1A Region IV District 28 match on Tuesday, December 16. Chester will face a Pirates squad coming off a 49-27 non-league loss to Goodrich (Goodrich, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 5-5.
