The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Dighton Hornets (Dighton, KS) and the visiting Oakley Plainsmen (Oakley, KS), observed Dighton's basketball team knock off Oakley by a score of 57-45.

The Hornets (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Quinter (Quinter, KS). The Bulldogs come into the Northwest Kansas challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Quinter knocked off Pawnee Heights (Rozel, KS), 73-28, in a non-league battle.

The Plainsmen now own a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wheatland-Grinnell for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 13. Oakley will meet a Thunderhawks squad coming off a 57-42 non-league win over Rawlins County (Atwood, KS). The Thunderhawks record now stands at 2-0.
