Pequot Lakes Patriots (Pequot Lakes, MN) backers went home thrilled Friday as they saw their basketball team smash the host St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders (St. Cloud, MN), 65-39 in a non-league contest.
The Patriots (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Bemidji (Bemidji, MN). The Lumberjacks enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Bemidji overwhelmed Hibbing (Hibbing, MN), 73-23, in a non-league match.
The Crusaders now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brainerd for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 16. St. Cloud Cathedral will face a Warriors squad coming off a 70-42 non-league loss to Monticello (Monticello, MN). The Warriors record now stands at 2-2.
