The Monte Vista Mustangs edged the visiting Dougherty Valley Wildcats basketball team by a tally of 51-48 in Friday's non-league game.
The Mustangs now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to California for a non-league game on Saturday, December 13. Monte Vista will confront a Grizzlies team coming off a 54-43 non-league win over Acalanes (Lafayette, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 3-1.
The Wildcats (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Alameda (Alameda, CA). The Hornets come into the non-league test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Alameda held off Urban (San Francisco, CA), 46-30, in a non-league test.
