North Carolina High School Basketball - North Wilkes edges Alleghany

December 13, 2022: Sparta, NC 28675

In Tuesday's non-league outing, the North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) basketball squad nipped the host Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), by a margin of 49-42.

The Vikings (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against North Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Black Knights go into the non-league outing with a 5-2 record. In their last outing, North Davidson was tipped by Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC), 55-37, in a non-league outing.

The Trojans now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to North Stokes for a 1A Conference 36 outing on Friday, December 16. Alleghany will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 94-64 non-league win over Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 7-1.
