Cave City Cavemen (Cave City, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Tuckerman Bulldogs (Tuckerman, AR), 66-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Cave City upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Cavemen host Newport (Newport, AR) to play the Greyhounds in a 3A Region 2 bout on Saturday, December 17. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Newport lost 73-51 in their recent non-league bout against Searcy (Searcy, AR)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Mountain View Yellowjackets (Mountain View, AR) in a 3A Region 2 bout, on Friday, December 16. Tuckerman will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 57-32 league win over Melbourne (Melbourne, AR).
