Conant Orioles (Jaffrey, NH) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Monadnock Huskies (East Swanzey, NH), 44-41 in a league bout.
With the victory, Conant upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Orioles host St. Thomas Aquinas (Dover, NH) to play the Saints in a Division III test on Thursday, December 22. The Saints go into the test with a record of 1-1.
The Huskies now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Campbell for a Division III test on Monday, December 19. Monadnock will encounter a squad coming off a 75-67 league win over Somersworth (Somersworth, NH). The record now stands at 2-1.
