Dodd City Hornets (Dodd City, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Wolfe City Wolves (Wolfe City, TX), 63-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Dodd City upgrades its record to 11-7 on the season. The Hornets travel to Fannindel (Ladonia, TX) to play the Falcons in a 1A Region III District 23 bout on Friday, December 16. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Fannindel won 70-36 in their recent non-league bout against Christian Home Educators (Sulphur Springs, TX)

Next up, the Wolves play the Bells Panthers (Bells, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 16. Wolfe City will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 9-1 record after their 54-42 non-league win over Pilot Point (Pilot Point, TX).
