North Carolina High School Basketball - Owen knocked off by Draughn

The Draughn Wildcats basketball team scored 79 points and held the visiting Owen Warhorses to 69 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patton for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 14. Draughn will battle a Panthers team coming off a 66-52 non-league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 1-4.

The Warhorses (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Mitchell (Bakersville, NC). The Mountaineers enter the 1A/2A Conference 42 contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Mitchell was defeated by North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC), 73-54, in a non-league contest.
