The Durant Wildcats basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Tipton Tigers to 53 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mid-Prairie for a River Valley contest on Friday, December 16. Durant will meet a Golden Hawks team coming off a 48-39 league win over Wilton (Wilton, IA). The Golden Hawks record now stands at 4-3.

The Tigers (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Midland (Wyoming, IA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Midland was nudged by Marquette (Bellevue, IA), 55-35, in a non-league contest.
