Morgan County Cougars (West Liberty, KY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Elliott County Lions (Sandy Hook, KY), 65-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Morgan County upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Estill County (Irvine, KY) to confront the Engineers in a non-league battle on Thursday, December 15. The Engineers come into the battle with a record of 2-1. Estill County won 70-34 in their recent league battle against Owsley County (Booneville, KY)

The Lions (0-4) will now prepare for their battle against Rowan County (Morehead, KY). The Vikings come into the non-league battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Rowan County trounced Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY), 64-43, in a league battle.
