Gardendale Rockets (Gardendale, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Jackson-Olin Mustangs (Birmingham, AL), 77-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gardendale upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Rockets travel to Pleasant Grove (Pleasant Grove, AL) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Pleasant Grove lost 64-61 in their recent non-league bout against Hueytown (Hueytown, AL)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Parker Thundering Herd (Birmingham, AL) in a 6A Area 9 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Jackson-Olin will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record.
