Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA) and the host William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA), saw Gretna's basketball squad get by William Campbell by a score of 68-67.
The Hawks now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tunstall for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 15. Gretna will battle a Trojans team coming off a 78-65 league win over Bassett (Bassett, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 6-0.
The Generals (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Brookville (Lynchburg, VA). The Bees come into the non-league battle with a 0-7 record. In their last battle, Brookville was nudged by Heritage (Lynchburg, VA), 59-33, in a league battle.
