Southside Panthers (Selma, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Hatch Bobcats (Uniontown, AL), 55-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southside upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Panthers travel to Lanier (Montgomery, AL) to clash with the Poets in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Poets go into the bout with a record of 8-5.

Next up, the Bobcats clash with the University Charter Trail Blazers (Livingston, AL) in a 1A Area 6 game, on Friday, December 16. Hatch will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record. The Trail Blazers enter the game with a 2-6 record after their 45-43 non-league win over Sweet Water (Sweet Water, AL).
