New Life Christian Academy Monarchs (Fayetteville, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mount Zion Christian Academy Mighty Warriors (Durham, NC), 48-42 in a league bout.

With the win, New Life Christian Academy upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Monarchs host Living Water Christian (Jacksonville, NC) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 15. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Living Water Christian lost 47-42 in their recent non-league bout against Cape Fear Academy (Wilmington, NC)

Next up, the Mighty Warriors play the Wake Prep Academy Guardians (Wake Forest, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 16. Mount Zion Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Guardians go into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 49-29 league loss to Howard (Wilson, NC).
