Northwest Mustangs (Hughesville, MO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Smithton Tigers (Smithton, MO), 67-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Northwest upgrades its record to 8-0 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Prairie Home (Prairie Home, MO) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 15. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Prairie Home lost 66-58 in their recent non-league bout against Higbee (Higbee, MO)

Next up, the Tigers play the Northwest Mustangs (Hughesville, MO) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 17. Smithton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 9-0 record after their 77-64 non-league win over Prairie Home (Prairie Home, MO).
