Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Starmont Stars (Arlington, IA), 65-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Alburnett upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Pirates host Central City (Central City, IA) to play the Wildcats in a Tri-Rivers - West bout on Friday, December 16. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Central City lost 88-29 in their recent league bout against North Linn (Troy Mills, IA)

Next up, the Stars play the Springville Orioles (Springville, IA) in a Tri-Rivers - West bout, on Friday, December 16. Starmont will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Orioles go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 75-48 league win over East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA).
