The Anson Bearcats basketball team (Wadesboro, NC), was overwhelmed 61-35 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC)
The Timberwolves now possess a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Union Pines for a non-league battle on Friday, December 16. Montgomery Central will battle a Vikings team coming off a 41-33 league loss to Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 1-3.
The Bearcats (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Albemarle trounced West Stanly (Oakboro, NC), 85-60, in a non-league battle.
