Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA), 56-4 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bassett upgrades its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Bengals travel to James River (Buchanan, VA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 5-1. James River won 50-36 in their recent non-league bout against Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 15. Tunstall will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 55-44 league win over William Campbell (Naruna, VA).
