Texas High School Basketball - Bells can't hold off Gunter

December 13, 2022: Bells, TX 75414

The Gunter Tigers basketball team scored 29 points and held the host Bells Panthers to 25 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alvord for a non-league contest on Friday, December 16. Gunter will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 56-42 league win over Tioga (Tioga, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-6.

The Panthers (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Blue Ridge (Blue Ridge, TX). The Tigers enter the 3A Region II District 11 contest with a 2-14 record. In their last contest, Blue Ridge was nudged by Pottsboro (Pottsboro, TX), 62-10, in a league contest.
