The Community Braves (Nevada, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Farmersville Farmers (Farmersville, TX), 38-35 in Tuesday's league test.

The Braves (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Kaufman (Kaufman, TX). The Lions go into the 4A Region II District 14 test with a 8-6 record. In their last test, Kaufman got by Forney (Forney, TX), 41-34, in a non-league test.

The Farmers now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they host Wills Point for a 4A Region II District 14 test on Friday, December 16. Farmersville will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 42-28 league win over Caddo Mills (Caddo Mills, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 4-12.
