Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA) and the visiting Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA), saw Cumberland's basketball squad knock off Prince Edward County by a count of 54-37.

With the victory, Cumberland upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Dukes host Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA) to play the Chargers in a James River challenge on Friday, December 16. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Lunenburg Central won 38-34 in their recent league challenge against Nottoway (Nottoway, VA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 14. Prince Edward County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Governors come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 44-37 league loss to Chatham (Chatham, VA).
